Membership

Mainline Steam operates steam and diesel hauled excursions and charter trains New Zealand wide. To support this we have depots in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

To support these operations, we need people to join our team of volunteers. As well as people with an engineering aptitude, we also need people who can help with on-board services to people who can help around the office. We of course appreciate your support even if you can only help from your armchair!

Mainline Steam is a continually evolving organisation that values the input from it’s members to help it flourish. We welcome any assistance you are able to offer and hope you will join our continually growing team.
