Charter Our Trains

Mainline Steam Heritage Trust operates a fleet of fully refurbished heritage carriages, with the option of steam or diesel motive power depending on the style of journey you’re planning.

Our carriages are designed for comfort, featuring airline‑style seating, heating, air‑conditioning, and large double‑glazed panoramic windows that make the most of the scenery. Each train also includes a Buffet Car with licensed bar facilities, giving us the flexibility to work with you on food and drink options that suit your group.

Charters have been used for a wide range of occasions, including North Island rail tours, themed events, and private group bookings. Every journey can be tailored to create a memorable experience for your guests.
