The undisputed crown jewel of this journey is our passage through the spectacular Manawatū Gorge. With the old highway permanently closed, the rail line offers an exclusive, front-row seat to this rugged natural wonder.
Watch the dramatic river below and feel the history as we steam through the gorge's tunnels. There is no better place for a team photo than from our open-air viewing platform—the ultimate vantage point for catching the crisp gorge air and hearing the thunderous echo of the steam locomotive.
Onboard Licensed Café
The celebrations start the moment you step on board. Throughout the trip, our onboard licensed café carriage will be open. Your team can sit back, relax, and purchase a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, hot espresso coffees, and sweet treats right from the rails as the stunning scenery rolls by.
The Destination: Tui Brewery
Our tracks lead straight to Mangatainoka Station. Upon arrival, step off the platform and stretch your legs with a flat, leisurely 15-minute walk to the world-famous Tui Brewery, or hop directly onto one of our dedicated transfer buses waiting for your group.
Once at the brewery, relax and enjoy the iconic historic grounds. To celebrate the festive season, your ticket includes a delicious, hearty BBQ lunch and a complimentary Tui beverage (or non-alcoholic alternative) to toast to a successful year!
