Can I book a seat in advance and pay on the day?
Payment must be made at the time of booking.
Can my child sit on my knee, or do I have to buy a ticket for them?
Children under the age of two can travel for free if they do not occupy a seat and sit on your lap. However, all seats face a table, and this limits room for a child on your lap and can be uncomfortable for you and anyone else sitting next to you over the course of the journey. We recommend purchasing a seat. Any child over the age of two must have a booked seat.
Will the train still run if it’s raining?
Yes, the train will run wet or shine.
Are the carriages heated?
Yes, all our carriages are air-conditioned and heated.
I’ve seen open-air viewing carriages on trains where you can stand to view the scenery. Do you have one on your train?
Yes.
